How to Enable Airmode in Cleanflight
#1
I haven't tried Betaflight before, but I notice the latest Cleanflight 1.12 comes with Airmode and I want to give that a try.

How do I enable it and what do I need?

Motor stop needs to be turned off. You want your motors to spin on arm.
Also set your min throttle command to lowest number where your motors run smoothly at idle. Then just set the mode to a switch.

also... don't forget to disarm as soon as you land or prior to landing, otherwise your copter will spool up all over the place.

Thanks!!

Does motor stop DEFINITELY need to be turned off?
I thought motor stop had to be disabled but I was advised by a knowledgeable individual that airmode over rides motor stop.

This would be ideal for me as I use motor stop at the moment. It would mean I could arm, take off, engage airmode, fly, disengage airmode then land without issue. Is this incorrect advice? If so, please explain

why do you need motor stop? motor stop is why people end up cutting themselves with props and with sliced up hands.

True, you could forget to engage it.
I guess you could be thinking you've disarmed when you've not?
Though it's never been an issue for me before. Suppose there's always the first time !

I arm via a switch so I just kill the switch if I crash, it becomes muscle memory, and I prefer them spinning anyway as I know I'm armed
I love to share and help people! Flying Mini Quad is the best!
