How to do flips and rolls?
#1
Hi

When you do flips or rolls, are you cut throttle to zero when quad is upside down...?

Or it depends slow or fast trick you do?

For a basic roll or flip, cut throttle and do the move, then back on throttle. However, you will lose altitude with that method unless that's what you want.

If you want stay the same altitude, blip the throttle up, then cut to start floating, then do the move, then back on.

Unless you are running betaflight's Airmode or have a switch to keep your throttle running when armed, I never go to 0% throttle because your quad will become unstable and bad things may happen. I'd drop down to maybe 10% when doing rolls.

Try it at different throttle levels and you'll see how the quad behaves. It's very different throughout the powerband.

Thnx, but if you "blip the throttle up" before flip you probably climb altitude yes?
But in some, video guys do flips when flying through gates or windows how?

floating - it is 50% throttle or when quad hover?
