How high have you gone?
#1
Hi all
So,.... How high have you gone?
The first time I hit 50m I was astonished at how high it seemed. Now, I just can't get enough. I feel like going up to the clouds.
With big brother watching our every move, we'll say this is a "hypothetical" discussion Wink

Early on I wanted to see how high these can go and I failsafed on the way up because I didn't put the antenna on the transmitter. It was set to hold last stick position so it kept going and going and going. I don't know how many meters but it went straight up 1500mah.

Haha.... Last seen orbiting alongside the space station.
Must be quite scary when it just takes off.

Oh yeah that was intense.
I just casually and immediately packed up and drove away but I was so scared after that I might have hurt someone or damaged something when it came down. Kept checking the news waiting for the headline "drone falls from sky and hits baby" or something aweful.
I never admitted to this before today, I feel so disgusted about that whole thing now whenever I think about it. I handled that so incredibly irresponsibly.

What could you have done more? Ignoring hindsight in checking for a failsafe, once it happened, nothing you could have done would have helped. Sure, if you intentionally ignored safety procedures, but I seriously doubt you wanted to lose your drone.

A little over 1100 feet or 335 meter I was trying for some cloud action but wimped out before I got to the clouds. I worry about civil/criminal liability if things go wrong with a light aircraft.
