How do you turn off Active Braking in BlHeli ?
#1
How do you disable active braking (damped light) in BlHeli 14.3.0.2 ?

I want to keep OneShot, but disable active braking on some BlHeli Opto ESC's.  CleanFlight only
lets you enable/disable OneShot.

I was told to do this in the BlHeli Suite by going to PWM Frequency / Damped, set it (if not already set)
to "damped light", and then click on the house icon to the right of "damped light" to turn it off.  When
I click on the house icon, it changes the PWM Frequency to "High".  Is "high" really the disable setting?

There is also an option in the BlHeli Suite to "Enable PWM Input".  Do I need to disable here?

Thanks!

Hi Greg, I think I answer your question on the blog comment Smile anyway here I can show you a picture to help understanding where the setting is:

you need to connect to BLHeliSuite and under “PWM frequency”, you should see Damped light, next to it is a house icon, that’s the default button… press the house icon and it should turn off active breaking…

When I click on the house icon, it remains "Damped Light" in the PWM Frequency Box. After saving to the ESC, it does not stop active braking.
I'm not sure what's happening, but I can't disable the braking. The ESC's work fine and flash normally. Any suggestions?

you probably get much less voltage spikes in your power system (less noise caused by ESC).
apart from this, I recommend having active braking all the time, it makes your quad much more responsive.
