How do I fix Yaw drift caused by TX?
#1
Ok so I am posting here instead of the FB page, Anyone have any ideas in regards to fixing yaw issues on my TX? It doesn't ever return to 0. It does this on 3 different models the same way and same issues in OpenPilot, Taulabs, and Cleanflight. I finally narrowed it down to my TX. I am using Turnigy 9x with openTX. As trimming on TX is bad and has no effect on the yaw drift. Would changing the gimbals to the Taranis ones do the trick?

On the clean flight configurator, what value do you get when yaw is centred? You can set up offset in the input or channel mixer I think if it's more than trim can handle

I re-calibrated my tx, and will see if that did the trick. The position read out in open tx yaw was always landing on -10 or 10. Stopped on 0 like it should after calibrating. Is it normal to have to calibrate all the time?

Not really.. Sounds like it might be a mechanical issue what you have

That's why I was thinking of replacing the gimbals. Thanks!

I dont know if this is the same, but I had an issue where my quad would get stuck and continue to yaw when the stick was centered. I advised to open it up and check to see if any wires were being pinched, I went ahead and re-organize some if the wires, and the yaw lag went away.
