Kalimera / welcome
after two weeks of internet/phone absence (very healthy)
i've done some footage over KOS island in Greece if you have spare 5 minutes i've selected few shots
few things i've learned/added to my experience:
1. beside checking battery in quad, googles.... check the TX batteries mine died aronud 30 seconds after i've landed (voltage 3,5 on 4 AA batteries is not good) - more luck than brains, and again backup bateries were already used
2. if you need angle for camera... cutting foam in the middle of the night and compressing it with velcro and camera gives you exactly 0 deg angle instead of expected 20 deg
3. if you fly without your tools (soldering iron etc) you fly like a grandpa
4. there is no such thing as too strong wind to fly.... "hovering on 45 deg, just to keep in one position" or on flat hover nice speed of movement
one more important thing... if you see strong wind and hover on flat... you are pushed slightly... if you go against the wind ... frame shows real resistance to wind... like a sail... i wasn't expecting that
5. there is no such thing as no wind or mild wind in september on KOS
