HK Blue 12A ESC - Revert to original firmware?
#1
Does anyone know if it's possible to revert a HK BLue 12A ESC to the stock firmware?  I have some which I originally flashed with BLHeli for multi-rotor use.  Now I want to use one in a flying wing and it seems like it would make more sense to revert to the original firmware so I can get the original voltage cutoff settings etc back.

I couldn't seem to find the original firmware anywhere so that I can re-flash back to that.  Does anyone know if it's available somewhere?

I don't think that's possible unless you have the stock firmware file... which seems to be to be an impossibility. once you flash a different firmware the original is erased.

I actually have an un-modified ESC exactly the same I wonder if it's possible to dump a copy from that.  If so I'm surprised someone hasn't done it already and uploaded a copy somewhere online.

Unfortunately, most ESCs have the internal flash protection bits set so that you can't read out the original firmware.

You're right.  I tried reading off my virgin one and no luck.  Have just used that one instead.  Shame there don't seem to be any custom fixed wing focused firmwares.

I buy HobbyWing FlyFun ESCs for my fixed wing stuff. They don't cost lots of money and neither does the programming card.

It's not about the cost, I just don't like the idea of the natural resources that went in to them being wasted.
