Hello
I'm just getting back into RC after early retirement has left me young enough with plenty of time to do all the things I've promised myself I'd do over the years. After 40 years in the Communications Industry you'd think that settling back into what was once familiar territory would be fairly easy? WRONG, lol.
I bought my first RC model, a glow plug driven speedboat back in 1974 with a Futaba TX, (I forget the model number) and didn't touch RC again until my middle son showed interest when I bought him a battery powered Ford Fiesta for Xmas 1996.
I haven't had time until now and am still marvelling at how the hobbyy has blossomed to encompass digital technology. The only 'dinosaur' that hasn't changed is the good old trusty servo, at least I know how that works without asking :-)
So here I am taking my first bold, never tentative, steps into the world of quadcopters primarily, but with plans to try out long range projects. I've bought myself an UndergroundFPV NV14 Nirvana Transmitter, Frsky XJT and R9M modules, a fist full of receivers and a Nano Skyhunter plane. The grandchildren are now on board and I don't know whose excitement is more contagious. All I know is you're never too old to learn new tricks....
See you inside...
