Hero 5 or 6?
#1
Hi Folks....

Am thinking about getting a GoPro, not so much for FPV, but more for general filming of flights and filming during hikes to some of the places I would like to fly.  Is the GoPro Hero 6 worth the extra money?  The 5 is stretching the budget a bit as it is and the 6 would be even more so, but I don't want to get something and realize after the fact I should have sprung for the 6.  Would appreciate any thoughts. Smile

Hero 5 is a great camera (no suprises here lol). The selling point for me on the Hero 6 is the exceptional image stabilisation. Wouldn't consider it for FPV, but for everything else...
That is unless you already have a gimbal - in this case it doesn't matter that much Smile
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car

Thanks Konrad.  Not looking to fly it, but as you said....for everything else......  Do you know if it has a macro mode?  I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.....

Thanks Oscar....I use a Runcam 2 for FPV, but I do like the Session 5.  If I decide to replace the The RC2, I'll take a look at the Session.

I love my Session 5. If you don't care for 4K, I would actually go with the Session 4. But the Session 5 is only $200, which is a good value.

You're right, it is a good value, but for what I am going to do with this, I think the LCD screen on this would be useful. I don't think the Session has one, does it? Not that I can find anyway. When I replace the Runcam, I will defiantly give the session a look. Thanks voodoo!
