Help for a great cause
#1
Hey guys I’m sorry to bother you guys but I need some help I think this will work I have an aunt that is legally blind but she can see it f given a large enough magnifying glass
She has one that she can put things on and it blows the image up and she can see it
So my thinking is that fpv goggles could do the same thing but I could figure out a way to hook my iphone camera to my DJI goggles ? it would help her to see again I have two pairs of DJI I think are v2 goggles any help would be greatly appreciated and I don’t mind buying the best equipment money can buy for her but I would like to do it as inexpensive as I could until I know if it will work so if you’ll have a little extra time please help

there is an android app/website to give video out on the DJI goggles, but it doesn't stream to an iphone. works on PC/Mac/android. Oscar Liang has a guide on his forum on how, all youll need is a compatible device of an appropriate size for your aunt. link: https://oscarliang.com/dji-fpv-goggles-video-out/

Best of luck!

You would need a lightning to hdmi adapter, and then you’d have to run an hdmi cable from that adapter to your goggles hdmi in.

Adapter:

Video below talks about an app to give a clean hdmi out rather than having all of the camera controls cluttering up the screen. I haven’t tried it, and I don’t have dji goggles. But, as long as they can take hdmi in, between the adapter above and the app below, you should be set. I’m not aware of any wireless solution to get hdmi out of an iPhone, and I don’t think anything like miracast will work.

How much magnification are we talking about here?

If possible, doing it via glass/plastic is probably going to be better than a digital solution:

Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.
