Help a newbie with propwash? Oscillations?
#1
Hi all! Newbie here who just built my first drone. It flies great, except when making hard turns or raising the throttle efter a loop / free fall / to stop where it kind of wobbles quickly (oscillates? propwash?).

I have followed Joshua Bardwells guide on setting d_lowpass_type = PT1 and disabling Notch Filters 1+2. It still flies great (I think  Rolleyes ) except the issue above.

Here's a video of a flight after disabling the filters:

My setup:
QAV-X 214mm clone -- http://bit.ly/2siguFT
Racerstar 20A lite S ESC's running Dshot600 -- http://bit.ly/2sNuN8I
Racerstar BR2205 motors -- http://bit.ly/2sdMnnG
SPF3 clone running 4khz/4khz -- http://bit.ly/2tgMBKM
Running 4S batts and HQ 5X4,5X3 V3 Racing Durable props.
Betaflight 3.1.6 with air mode and stock PIDs.
No soft mounting (but motors are super cool)
Total weight (without battery) 313 grams.
Picture attached.

Would really appreciate any ideas on what to do. Seems there's a 50/50 with guides recommending an increase or decrease of P and D.

Thanks!!

Wow, with filters removed and FC hard-mounted, the fact that your motors aren't heating up and your craft flies well shows that it's well built. I would definitely soft-mount your FC first and see what kind of results that gives you.
