Hello from the UK!
#1
Newbie here and thought i'd say hi!

I'm located in Portsmouth in the UK and have been into quads for a couple of years now. I don't get a tonne of time to fly/build due to family and IRL so it's defintley very much a part time hobby but when I do ave the time I very much enjoy it!

Being in the UK, it's also difficult finding places to fly locally without having to travel, but always keeping an eye out for new and exciting spots. Especially quiet places with less risk when going alone...
Be interesting to see if anyone is nearby, and to become part of the community. As yet I've not really found a good forum for quad talk, but I've followed Oscars blog for a while and figured it looked like a good bunch here. Be nice to have somewhere to hang out, chat FPV and catch the latest trends.

Currently i'm building a Stingy clone with custom vinyl (Ashamed to say it's a clone, but just can't justify the expense of the real one at the moment!). Trying out a FlightOne Revolt/Bolt32 stack and loving the ease and cleanliness of the connectors as opposed to soldering.
Running Emax RS2205 motors from my previous build, a Runcam Swift 2, FrSky R-SXR and an FT48X VTX.

Just need to finish off the motor wiring and tidy up a little bit and should be ready to fly. Off to the Lake District in 2 weeks so hoping to get some footage while flying somewhere quiet and picturesque!

Anyhow, nice to meet you all and look forward to getting involved!

I most certainly do. I appreciate the time and effort that go into creating these sorts of things and will gladly contibute in the long run. I also imagine it takes some time and experimentation to decide what sort of frame and style suits a particular person. I see clones are a good way to experiment - once I'm certain I will commit to the real deal Smile

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone. Look forward to hanging around!
