Hello from San Diego!
#1
Just bought a JYU Hornet S.  Have researched quads since they became available and finally tired of flying firends machines.  Figured teh Hornet would be a good starting point and truly wish I could fly it, but a motor smoked in the first 5 minutes of testing.  Guess i get to learn to work on it as well!  My intent is to turn it in to a camera platform for photography and such eventually and build my very own eventually.

Anyway, just a quick hello Smile

Hi Kaity, welcome.

I imagine San Diego is a good place to start down the photo/video platform path... great weather and interesting / diverse locations. Smile If you need help along your journey there definitely are some smart folks on here ready to jump in with great advice so you've found a good spot Smile

Hi Kaity, you have found your way to the Best place for multi-rotor pilots to share ideas, knowledge and experience, and also just to have a laugh with people who actually 'get it.'

I hope you don't have to wait as long as I do for the spares to get your Hornet back in the air, looking forward to some aerial views of San Diego...!

Hi Kaity and welcome to the forum and this wonderful, bank balance destroying hobby!

I'm really sorry to hear you killed a motor in the first five minutes. If it wasn't your fault that it happened, I hope you can get good service from the supplier and be back in the air swiftly.
