Hello
#1
Hello from Tennessee. I started flying 02/01/2018 and have been using my own rigged up FPV system from day one. I am a licensed HAM (Amateur Radio) user and know a little bit about signal propagation and electronics. I am new though and just started out flying RTF quadcopters. My latest and best so far is a Mystery Stone B2C same as a MJX Bugs 2C in black. I have made several mods and customized it to suit my style.

I am constantly working on and upgrading my FPV system with monitors (no goggles) and gaining range.

Way back when I was a teenager (35 years ago) we never had anything like what is out there today. For all the younger people here and around, you really need to take advantage of the technologies of today.

Hey Arc, welcome to a wonderful forum! I am a relatively new flyer and have found quadcopters to be fun to build and fantastic to fly Big Grin

Great group of folks here, just about any question you can come up with can be answered...and it sounds like we might be close to the same age (I will never confirm that though) Smile
SoCal Kaity :D
OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun!  Addicted :)

Krohsis, My station/call sign is KM4CMK. I have been Licensed a few years now and get on air every now and then. Since getting wrapped up in FPV and flying quadcopters, I've neglected my radio! These things are addictive!

Kaitylynn, LOL! Most Ladies never do!

I turned 51 January 11. I am a kid at heart though and absolutely enjoy flying a quad even though it is RTF with GPS and Alt Hold. Depending on how you look at it, starting out RC flying could be a good or bad thing! Either way I am not going to regret it!! The good thing...I'm addicted!! The bad thing...Just getting started!! LOL Smile

Thank you all for the welcome here.

What are you talking about?  35 years ago I had me one of these, 72 MHz of AM power and 4 channels baby!

Lol Sugs. Hes is talking the FPV aspect Wink

And I totally say it daily that most people, especially these younger generations, just don't take advantage of the vast world of information and resourses that is out there in this day and age. I could rant for days Wink

Anywho...
Big welcome to the forums Ham! I am going to have to look up that quad you have. I don't think I have heard of it yet

LOL! That was back when they discovered the wheel??

I remember that big blocky equipment and the God awful gas engines. Those "C" batteries were the wonder of the world! Don't forget listening to a portable Eight Track with WWII style headphones while trying not to chop your fingers off starting a gas motor! Our mods back then looked like something came off the Mad Max Studio Set! LOL

What is really remarkable, is how far technology has come since the mid 70's. Imagine if you went back in time with the quadcopters of today and flew it down a city street with FPV. The people would panic, thinking it was a UFO!
