- don't fly -.... not an option...
- fly closer to the ground through the gates there... first start slowly then add the speed... -> open space + full powah!! is what kills the batteries
- change props to lighter
- get more batteries
- get better batteries
i've also heard that you can change your style... but im a powah maniac so i know how you feel putting thrtl to 100%
nice flying mate
Thanks!
My thoughts on these options :p
- Don't Fly=Agree, not an option.
- Fly close to the ground through the gates=Actually I've gotten much better at hitting those gates but the video is completely boring so it rarely makes the cut. When I am flying the course I typically never kill a battery completely and I generally am only in full throttle for about 1-2 seconds each lap on the back end coming over for the 90 degree gate at the far west (if looking at the multiGP UTT1 diagram ) end.
- Change props to lighter=I love the Dals but I have been experimenting with props. I've been trying some of the HQs that don't break the moment you look at them and those have gone OK (they're a couple-few grams lighter each) and I recently started playing around with Lumenier butter cutters @ 5x30x3... ironically enough I think it's going to be their props that help the last two of the batteries I got from them survive! lol
- Get more batteries=Primary tactic I've been carrying out. 6 is no where near enough. I went from complaining about days when I couldn't get through all 10 to being highly frustrated that I didn't have enough batteries... so I bought 3 more R-Lines... then I decided to place an order for the black labels that Tom suggested... then I wasn't sure that they'd all come in in time for a trip that I am taking tomorrow so I bought 3 more R-Lines... so now I have 15 batteries total which is good because it means I have enough to either bring more than I need with me on road trips or leave some home when I know that I'll only be flying 10.
- Buy better battiers=R-Lines work... haven't killed one each... so I am focusing on those. However I plan to beat the crap out of these black label ones and my older R-lines since I have more than enough just to see how tough both types are. If the black labels can stand up to the abuse I'll probably switch.
- Change flying style=Not an option either... too much fun to push the heck out of the quad to see what it can handle. If anything I'd like to abuse my batteries more rather than less!
