H123d spare prop
#1
Im completely new to the fpv scene and went with this drone the hubsan h123d and figured it out quickly but at the cost of a few blades. With little to no knowledge on drones and no resources (that i could find online) im unable to find any replacement props that arent from a strange website that looks more like a scam. The issue is thw motor doesnt have a shaft and the original blades use two bolt holes and two spikes that center the blade using the other unused bolt holes. I cannot find any blades online that do this

So it looks like a 2 or 3 inch props. Measure the diameter of the props, and tell us what it is. You can likely find non-Hubsan replacement. The two screw mount is pretty standard.

The motors on the Hubsan H123D X4 Jet look to have the usual motor shaft pin and 4-screw setup which is a standard motor design. As Voodoo said, if you measure the prop we can point you in the direction of some likely suitable replacements.

The prop is just shy of a 3 inch prop but 3 inch will clear its more like a 2.875 diameter

I got some props and found that the factory bolts werent long enough for the new props being as they werent counter bored so as a temp fix i counterbored them and then had to drill a .073 hole so the shaft would center them. The bolt it uses i think is a 1.4m bolt seeing as the bolt measures .052 but im unsure. Id like to find props that just bolt on with no issue

Also camera upgrade recomendation would be nice this one is like 88 fov

Even though the props are a tad below 3", it looks like there is plenty of clearance for 3" props as you say.

I would take a look at something like the following:- The screws should be M2. I recommend just getting a selection kit like this -> http://bgd.onl/6P (but note the shipping time, so maybe from somewhere else).

I can get anything m2 and up at work but these bolts are def not m2 bolts measure .078 outside and thse tiny ones only measure .052

Hmmm, OK. That's not a standard thread size for securing props on motors of that size. 0.052" is 1.3mm and I'm not even aware of any standard screws in that diameter, so it's not even a standard size screw. Most motors of that size use M2 screws with the smaller motors using M1.6. You're a machinist so you obviously know how to measure things accurately, but you're definitely sure it's not an M1.6 (0.629") thread aren't you? (i.e. you didn't inadvertently mistake the 6 for a 5).

What is the diameter of the holes in the original blades?

(edit) hole in the blade is around .70 for the bolt) ibelieve a m1.4 runs .055 and typical machine threads are off anywhere from .000-.01 from nominal so being as its .003 off im pretty sure its 1.4 but i cant say 100% that it is 1.4 i can say however its 100% measuring .052 im coming to find out that nothing on this drone is really typical. If i have to ill continue to drill them out its not a huge deal i can do a blade a minute. Newest thing im trying to figure out is if i can upgrade the lens to give me more fov. I really appreciate ur help on this even if we cant figure it out i will have pics of the bolts momentarily

That is an odd size. I wonder if they are M1.4. Even M1.4 is odd.
