Greetings from the Olympic Peninsula!

Hi all,

I'm a noob Big Grin  just finishing my first build - 210 frame.  Worked through some tough issues programming the ESC's - Lumenier BlHeli 30a 32bit Silk Opto.  Thought I could program them through CleanFlight, but, alas, I had to use the USB programmer.  Going to use the stock PIDs on the Afro Flight Naze32 rev6 FC to start, then learn PID tuning first hand... after I learn to fly, lol.

I was able to bind my x4r to my Taranis Plus - can see vBat info on Taranis, "telemetry found" an, green light on x4r is solid - but i haven't been able to arm the quad yet (green light on Naze32 is blinking intermittently - 4 blinks, then brief pause repeated).  Am searching online currently to find what steps I am missing.  If I can't figure it out after a couple of hours, I'll search the threads here.

Love the Forum Rules!  Family.  Looking forward to making some connections.

Cheers,

Mateo

Welcome Mateo! Quick tip - adjust your lower throttle endpoint (in transmitter) to reliably get below the minimums in BetaFlight. (And/or, set up an arming switch.) You will find lots of information here.

Thanks sloscotty! I've got everything working now, just have min throttle showing 988, instead of 1000 in CleanFlight, so am searching on how to get that right... I'm pretty sure I have a YouTube video bookmarked that teaches me this Smile

Thank you, Oscar!

I got my quad in the air... discovered a noob mistake - props not tight enough. Fixed that, and have been working on LOS hovering... had another noob mistake - throttled up, instead of down, and ended up in the neighbors yard, lol. First two props broken, first antenna severed - all else good, but have to wait for my new antennas to arrive. Ugh.
