Greeting from the north
#1
Hello.

I have only just started into this hobby.

Started out with a camera-less brushed X4 Plus 107P with the excuse it was for me and my sisters son. Flew this one mostly indoors  and a few times at my parents rural property.

Bought a Drone UK magazine while on vacation on the airport and read about the DYS ELF and betaflight. Bought two DYS ELFs from Germany and a Taranis X9 radio. Got a pair of inexpensive googles.

Modified this ELF with a new carbon frame and a longer VTX antenna.

Kept ending up on Oscars page for a of information and noticed he linked this forum - and now I have joined.

Living in the north of Europe.

Like tinkering and fiddling around. Work as a tool maker.

Living in a rather built up area so I guess I will stay with small quads - have been mapping the city for the last few weeks to find places where you can fly without disturbing or being disturbed.

Welcome to the forum flightmode!

I'm also in the north of Europe (Stockholm to be precise). The flying season is sadly short here unless you have antifreeze in your blood to stop your fingers freezing. Smile

The Hubsan X4 H107 was my introduction to the hobby as well. Lots of fun to fly!

I'm lucky enough to live next to a large field with cut grass, so my flying spot is just five minutes walk from my apartment. In theory, it's off limits for flying as it's just inside an airport's controlled air space, but as I keep my altitude well under 40 metres, I can't see me posing a risk to any air traffic.

Google maps is a great way to scout for flying spots if you use the satellite view. Things don't always turn out quite as good as they look, but it certainly helps to find places worth checking out.

hey flightmode0,

Already said hi and welcomes in the other thread but extra welcomes to you again! Always glad to see more and more folks getting into this hobby. As far as communities to grow into this hobby with intoFPV has been a huge help for me. I joined before I had my first legit quad and have been showing up daily since.
