OK I have totally reached the end of my rope .......downloaded the XJT software install it...... I even switched out my FC...... everything remains the same if I plug the lipo in without holding the FS button The red light flashes...   if I hold the FS button down and power up while radio is in bind mode both red and green light glow steady ....

You are sure taranis is non EU...my x4rsb was doing the same with the l lights and it was a firmware mismatch between taranis and receiver. Flash taranis to euro and receiver to euro lbt. I was at this for ages and eventually sussed it myself . It was the same lights you are getting but bound right away when I got it right . Keep going ?

FC doesn't matter for binding. You can have just a 5V supply for binding. Are you sure that you have the correct firmware for both TX and RX. Either both Non-EU or both EU?

In one of the download you sent me It showed me how to determine if mine was a EU or non EU version according to that video I have a non EU version because in the mode selection I can select D8 D16 and LR12 According to the video that determines it is a non EU version

No
You can have these modes in euro
I didn't say flash anything non euro ...just flash the x4rsb with euro lbt and try to bind

Make sure it is euro lbt ....the plain euro one would not work for me

It's euro not non euro ...lbt is a European standard only ...get the euro lbt and flash your x4rsb

Try it and if it works your taranis transmitter is actually euro

This takes a minute to do and sort...been trying to saysince yesterday . If you have non euro firmware on x4rsb and it won't flash then chances are you have a firmware mismatch and your taranis is actually euro. So you need euro lbt...try it and if it doesn't work you can flash it back
Euro lbt
