Gopro Session 5 Vibration Jello
#1
For those of you flying the new GoPro Session 5... I flew mine for the first time today and I was dissapointed at the shakiness of the video.

Now, I don't know if it's the camera or my new mini quad's tune, but I wasn't expecting so much oscillations in the video. I checked, and the camera has EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) turned on. I see that my GoPro Hero 4 Blacks don't even have that feature. Could it be that the EIS is actually doing the opposite and being detrimental to the video? Like, it's actually making video worse trying to deal with copter vibrations?

try turn the EIS off, I have had the same problem with my firefly 6s camera, and when turning off the EIS, the picture was much better. I have also previously had a discussion with a guy with the same issue on the Session 5, and when I told him to turn it off, his problems went away. I have a theory that the EIS is not really designed for those really fast oscillations that our quads are providing the camera, but works better when walking or cycling or something similar.

I think the main problem is EIS. You need that OFF. The electronic stabilization makes FPV video much worse. Your quad is a "shaking" machine, you just don't know it yet Smile It doesn't know how to deal with that vibration on a quadcopter...
