Yeah, bit of a process but was interesting to go through.
before rip
before rip
- configure blackbox settings as per gyroflow wiki, including the settings that reduce the amount of data saved to essential gyro only.
- clear out flash for space
- Turn on voice record on phone, place centrally to rippage
- Record from onboard vtx, turn on early, before arming and do an audio sync (clap hands, lol)
- rip pack
- copy vtx video off quad to PC, same with audio
- copy blackbox logs, the last file (which is an aggregate of all flight logs) is the easiest to use
- Run video (full video, no trim) through gyroflow
- Load video, use timeline to note how long video is (TimeTotal) and when arming starts (TimetoArm).
- load camera profile (just search for walksnail and tried one of the community ones)
- load gyro data and select the flight from the dropdown list. Note the time of the flight from (TimeTotal minus TimetoArm) the values before, it will be less than the video if you had it recording before arming
- Set rotation value on pitch axis to 35deg (to account for my fpv camera angle versus gyro data)
- turn on low pass filter, leave at default value
- Set rough gyro offset to TimetoArm value, doesn't need to be exact.
- I set FOV to 1 or around that
- I set smoothness to 0.2 or around that
- Run autosync (i use 2 to 5 points, no more)
- Export
- Load project, add stabilized video and audio track
- Sync audio and trim video
- color grade and some resizing
- up the volume on the audio!
