I'm kinda liking this VTX guys. I had gone out of my way to order a 2W Foxeer Reaper Extreme VTX direct from China but when it finally arrived, it turned out to be too big for my frame lol wtf man (frame is prototype Shinobi UL). Nevermind that I also got a mini camera only to realize that I designed this UL version for nano only LOL yay.
Reason I'm looking for a high-powered analog VTX is so I can go back to my wanna-be long range activities which the HDZero stuff just really is not meant for.
So anyway, I opted for the next highest output power VTX in a small form factor which was this GEPRC RAD Mini (not to be mistaken with its non-mini rad bigger bother) ...

I haven't sent it just yet but test flights are proving pretty impressive! The one thing I noticed off the bat is that I'm getting clear signal when I go far behind me behind trees which I normally never got before. Soon, I will send it once my nano camera arrives (currently have it in a normal Shinobi meant for cinematic mid-range).
I will say it does get hot ... like REALLY freeging hot lol. On this normal Shinobi, I opted to keep the casing on. On the UL version, I planned to take it off to save 3-4g. It's going back on lol.
Not too many videos on this guy which is why I wanted to post about it. This is the best video so far including a link to the VTX table for no fuss ...
This one is more on video performance ...
Forgot to mention! On my first one that was meant for the UL where I decased it, the freeging VTX button fell off!! I don't use that button but maybe fortelling of QA issues ... we shall see.
