Serial 2 refers to UART 3. and serial 5 to UART 6. Basically serial N = UART N+1. You could of course change the serial rx in the GUI. It is just easier for us to help you through CLI commands.

Anyways, you solder the receiver to UART6 and not UART3 as you indicated. That is why we always ask for photos.

Is there any way to recover the rx that I flashed with the 2.1.0 firmware? Or is it trash at this point?

I really don't know that answer. Some people have been successful and others have not. Have you tried flashing?
