"Can you imagine how many FPV youtubers would crack under this LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL"

lol you're assuming we gonna read through that manual thoroughly enough to understand this joke ;D

I'm like "What crazy guidelines should reviewers follow lemme click this to see" then I see Table of contents..... Then I'm like nope....  ROFL

lolol c'mon man that's too much to expect from us.... well... me at least...... Can you give some examples of some guidelines that would make youtubes crack?

I read a few of the Q&A but they seemed reasonable... Anything in particular that stands out?

It's called "the law" bro I don't think it's optional reading BAHAHAHAH.

Quote:Sorry officer the driving manual was too long so I must have skipped over the part about not going faster than 100mph. Is that really a law officer?

Anything in particular that stands out? Like ever single drone youtube channel out there in violation? That kind of stand out you mean? BAHAHAHA

And in all seriousness, it's not hard. I cut and paste two disclaimers on all my product reviews when I did do reviews. One said that I was given the product for free and the other said I paid retail price. Effortless takes 5 seconds.

Impact is HUGE. How would you feel about a raving review from someone it turns out gets paid straight up to say it?

When I said "we" I meant "we" as in us here in the forum.... I don't do reviews on youtube......

And when I say "stands out" I mean like one of the violations you're saying these youtubers are violating. Not about that they're violating rules. It was kinda clear that the point of your post in the first place was about how these youtubers are violating these rules... but I didn't wanna read every single one of them until I found one that was OBVIOUSLY being violated en masse....  I was asking you to point out one of them that is like, very blatant.

IDK how you misunderstood me so severely, especially since I'm not a youtube reviewer or a reviewer in any way......

And I get the impact is probably huge, but usually you can discern between opinion and fact..... If people are getting paid to smudge the facts then THAT is the most serious offense I think.

It's any review on any medium bro. Not just yt.

sorry i mention yt because its the most prevalent medium.

and if you want to see an extreme example of why this is so critical especially today (these guidelines are decades old), you just need to wacth this:

as far FPV examples? LOL bro. google "fpv" on youtube. there's your example.

I'm not sure if this thread was aimed at FTC in general or if it has any relation to the COPPA specific FTC stuff that has been circulating YouTube over the past week, but Bruce did a piece on that yesterday (link below), and there are a ton of other people giving their opinions HERE.

I don't know what to say....

It's like you're quoting my comment then responding to someone else.

Maybe someone else can clarify what I'm asking.....

What I asked about is seriously not important enough for all this.

I'm here thinking how I can explain what I said, bu I already did as clearly and decisively as I would know how to.... It's just... IDK man are you actually reading my comment?

Maybe someone else can clarify what I meant.... It's not working when I try lol.

You're overthinking it I think, I never came close to disagreeing with you........

COPPA is a completely separate issue. But while we are on the topic, COPPA has been around long before Endorsement Guidelines lol.

As an aside, and while we are on the topic of online media regulations and possibly directly relevant to forums just like this one, is GDPR privacy laws. Yes, that is an EU law. But the catch is, how do you prove oneself to not be an EU resident (doesn't have to be an EU I.P. originating address). That is why companies like Microsoft are adapting to the far stringent GDPR guidelines to avoid the hassle.

That is just an aside but my point in all this is that Endorsement Guidelines, COPPA, GDPR ... these are all legit guidelines that can result in *serious* ramifications if found in violation ... yet nobody follows them.
