FS-I6S compatible with X4R?
#1
I just purchased a FlySky FS-I6S transmitter and didn't realize until I received it that the included FS-IA6B receiver won't fit on my Lumenier quad. Ugh...
I'd like to use an FrSky X4R receiver instead, but I don't know if it's compatible with the FS-I6S transmitter. Does anybody know if they will play friendly with each other?

Remove the pin and case on the fs-ia6b. The x4r will not work with flysky as far as I know

Thanks! I'll try that tonight! Hopefully it fits after removing the case. If not, I'm going to get a FlySky X6B receiver instead.

Is it a QAV-X by any chance? I had my challenges with this frame's lack of space, even with the FrSky XSR which is pretty small.

Anyway, as oyvinla said, the X4r won't bind to your radio, but have a look at the Flysky FS-A8S which should be compatible.

No, it's actually a QAV-210. I ended up ordering a FlySky X6B receiver instead. That should manage to squeeze in there okay. I got one of those Flightclub FPV receiver mounts that are designed to be used with a FlySky X4R receiver. The X6B is supposedly a little smaller than the X4R so it should fit.

I have no idea how you manage to fit all of your electronics on your QAV-X. Those things make my QAV-210 look outright spacious! Wink
