FrSky XSR RX - Radio Receiver
#1
The new FrSky XSR is smaller than I thought it would be... I was thinking it was going to be about the size of a de-pinned X4RSB but it is definitely a bit smaller than that!

the antennas is about 3.5" long

Supports sbus + ppm (but why PPM when you have SBUS? Smile )

SmartPort Telemetry capable!

Available from BG:

Not sure yet if this RX can modified or "hack" to work with naze rev5. I'm assuming there's one that doesn't involve an inverter just like how the x4r has this mod.

Well, PPM could be useful sometimes Smile

SBus requires a real UART, which you may want for something else. SmartPort telemetry for example, *also* requires a real UART. So does BlackBox if you're using an external SD Card with OpenLog.

I'm a huge fan of SBus...but even with F3 controllers, real UARTs are few and more and more things are demanding them. And if you're on an F1 board...like most folks...they're really in short supply.

So yes, PPM is very welcome, especially on micro builds
I love to share and help people! Flying Mini Quad is the best!

Not worth the extra money Smile The X4RSB can be just as small!

besides, I hate micro connectors like that. Any savings in boards size is lost to it. To bad they couldn't just have a few through holes to solder to with everything you need.
