Everything on my used qx7 off eBay seems to work, until today when I tried to enter the microsd card. The seller says that he has never tested that feature and seeing he is trusted and has 5 stars on over 1000 sells, I believe him. When I put in my microsd card, nothing happens at all. It won't even recognize that it is there, but every other feature works flawlessly. Can anyone please help me, as it is formatted and has the SD card files properly installed? I can recognize it and read and write to the SD card through my pc though, so I don't understand the problem?

Probably sounds like a stupid question but how are you trying to access the contents of SD card with it in the QX7? After inserting the SD card and switching on the QX7 you need to long press the MENU button until the radio setup screen appears, and then you need to keep pressing the PAGE button until the SD Card screen appears. Are you doing this?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm teaching you to suck eggs but you didn't give much detail so we need to confirm that you're actually executing the correct procedure first before doing any further troubleshooting.

What size is your card? What format file system are you using?

File system has to be fat32.

It is formatted as fat32 and nothing comes up when I find the SD contents page. When I scroll I get wwwwwwwww along the bottom

I formatted it on osx as ms dos

OK, that fact you are actually seeing an SD Card page suggests that your QX7 can see a card present in the slot.

So try this. With the card inserted, go to that SD Card page where you say you are seeing the "wwwwwwww" nonsense and long press on the MENU button. If the QX7 works anything like the X9D+ then you should be presented with a menu showing the options Information and Format on it. Select the format option and it will natively format the card inside the Taranis using the correct file system type.

Try a different card

I will try a different card when I finally find one! I have about 5 but they are scattered everywhere

Thanks for the suggestions I am trying that now. First I have downloaded the sd format tool and doing a full wipe
