Frsky M9-R Gimbals
#1
Looks like Frsky is releasing a new version of their hall-effect gimbals, so for you guys planning on ordering the M9's it could be worth waiting a little bit longer:

Yea I heard they were releasing a new gimbal specifically for racing a couple of months ago. This one is featured with "high sensitivity", so I guess that's it Smile

I believe the two things that make it "Race" are:
1. Red color
2. 45 degree throttle movement (ie more sensitive throttle)

everything else is pretty much M9 stock?

If that's the case then one should really only need to get one for the throttle stick and leave the standard M9 for the roll/pitch stick

These seems strange. They are calling them "high sensitivity" but what they really mean is "longer throw". Longer throw means the same movements theoretically result in finer control, but it also means you have to extend farther to get to the extremes of that control.
I think these might be a "must try before you buy" kind of thing.

Not longer, it's 60 on original vs. 45 on these, so it's actually 25% narrower

In that case, these seem like they would almost be more difficult to fly with. I already have trouble making minute adjustments in throttle at times.
