11 Fractal65, runs quicksilver (which seems more intuitive than betaflight)
Everything seems well, but when I take off the whoop has truly insane shaking and then flys to the ceiling where it gets stuck until disarm.
I assume the flyaway is airmode because of the shaking? Not sure though.
Quad seems physically fine, no cracks, everything tightened down. Motors all turn and in the right direction.

100 airmode is a betaflight feature - the close feature on quiksilver calls idle windup if im right
do you have loosen things, vibrating?
did it flew well on betaflight before?

11 It is new to me, only just got connected to radio and goggles.
Sits in idle fine, but as soon as I apply throttle the vibration (more like violent shaking) starts and then I lose all control.

11 Note that this is the whoop I swapped a bt2 connector over to a ph2 connector. Can't imagine that has anything to do with this, but I thought I'd mention it.

121 23-Jun-2023, 06:20 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Jun-2023, 06:28 PM by Lemonyleprosy.) Since it’s “new to you”, I’m assuming that means you got it used?
Sounds like a tuning issue to me. Not knowing what the previous owner did to it, I’d suggest saving the quicksilver profile in case you need to return to it, and then trying one of the whoop presets in QS.
Edit- also, make sure your motor shafts are straight.
Dangerous operations.
Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

11 I noticed an odd behavior in quicksilver, the model of the quad rolls and pitches as it should when I move it in my hand, but when I yaw left and right with it, the digital model does not respond. When I flip the quad upside down, the digital model accurately follows roll, pitch AND yaw.

11 23-Jun-2023, 08:17 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Jun-2023, 08:29 PM by FPVme.) Okay, I flashed to betaflight and got everything up and running. The quad was 'hopping' as soon as I armed. I ended up putting on some throttle limiting and expo, and other than the slight hoppiness before takeoff I think everything is up and running.
This thing's fast!

1 You can also check your I-term -- sometimes if that is too high you get flyaways like described. I don't use a lot of BF so I know things are different with their sliders -- but you can bring I term down to zero to see if the problem still occurs, then bump it up as needed till it feels good.

100 my buddy had the same issue on the diamond f4 board, maybe an older firmware version would work - but overall, the two fc targets i had didnt work either, the diamont board is sucv a common choice - it seems there is a big issue about active developement by software targets, sad.
maybe it has something to do by the gyro choice? chip prices?
