Hey everyone,
I'm here to introduce to you my first ever Depro-Scratchbuild flying wing.
I never had a flying wing nor did a depron build, so please give me your advice!!!
I took the planes from a norwegian forum where FPV-Trond introduced them.
The electronics:
- Turnigy TGY-777 Slim Wing DS/MG Alloy Case Servo 5.5kg / 0.10sec / 23g
- NTM Prop Drive Series 35-36A 910Kv
- TURNIGY Plush 40amp Speed Controller
- FrSky X8R-SB (The one i won from Oscar ^^)
- 2x ZIPPY Compact 3700mAh 4S 25C (so 7400mAh 25C 4S)
- PZ0420M 600TVL Sony
- CC3D (wanna test beta/cleanflight for planes)
- vTX: Don't know yet. Maybe it will get the 600mW from my Armattan F1-6 (and this get a new raceband vTX)
You will see that i try to modify it, i hope it works.
If you have questions or suggestions feel free to write!
BuildLog:
18.01.16 Started by tring to find the mid of my sheets because the were 2cm short.
The first cut out part ... damn big those 120cm
Left the rear for the "mod"
20.01.16 Finally cut out all the sheets ... and they fit okay ... like 1-2mm off. for the first time i'm okay with it.
You can see i left a straight line like in the version 3 of the FPV49.
After i get my motor attached and my electronic bays cut i'll cut it down.
29.01.2016 Glued it together ... okay i made big mistakes. My whole building room smells like Uhu Por and benzine.
The i had nothing to press it against and when you put the sheets together the are not movable.
So I hat to pour benzine between the sheets to loosen them again ... shit work, still messed it up poorely.
Put in two carbon tubes 6/4mm (about 70cm) in the leading edges and one 12/10mm (100cm) as an "A-spar" over the motor mount (you can see it some pictures below)
See yourself:
Next up i beveled the front edge. I got rid of some of the bad glueing.
But still i had to adjust cut the trailing edge.
30.01.16 Started cutting out some space for LiPos and the other electric components.
If you look closely to the bottom of the picture you can see the Carbon tube.
I found out that the fuselage/wings are not really dry yet (maybe cause i had to loosen the sheets up with so much benzine :/ )
So i will let that dry out some days.
So i have some time to do the control surfaces.
Most people suggest to make one spar of carbon long into them. Sorry guys, but that's not helping with torsion.
So i just put it in like the photo below. It still cen bend (but it will be attached to the fuselage) but it won't twist. And there is the whole point of it imho.
01.02.16 one of the control surfaces
So that's everything for now.
I'll continue whe i have some time left, atm my job is very time consuming.
Cheers
Diego
