FPV Wiring for ZMR250V2 PDB with LC Filter
#1
Hi all, I have the ZMR250V2 from the ARF2 kit I got from FPVModel here, and also a Pololu 12v step up step down voltage regulator and an LC filter.

May I know what is the best way for me to wire everything up together? I'm not sure if I should place the LC filter before the vTX or camera. If it's only placing it before the camera or vTX, I would know where to solder it. But if it's recommended to solder it before both, I'm not sure how can I wire everything up.

Looking forward to your suggestions! Thanks!

I thought the zmrv2 pdb has built in LC filter and voltage regulator already ?

I think you just need to hook up your vtx and camera to it

Hi Oscar thanks for your reply. I know that it has a 5v voltage regulator and I used it to power my naze32 like the FC power option 2 in your ZMR250V2 build log. However, my camera setup requires 12V and I never knew it had a LC filter and 12v regulator. Do you mind pointing out to me which one is it if there is one?

I totally forgot there is no 12V regulator onboard!

the LC filter onboard is only filtering the 5V... so you possilbiy need another one for the 12V regulator... my preference is putting LC filter before regulator.

Oh so there is really an LC filter on board? Now I'm thinking if I should have purchase a seperate 5V camera just to have a cleaner build!

By the way, is it the camera or the vTX that needs the filter or both? If I had already soldered the voltage regulator directly to the 3 header pins on the board, I'm not sure how I can I add in the LC filter before both if it's the recommended way since there are 2 different solder points for the cam and vTX.

P.S. I took a while to study how you wired the filter and regulator from your build log. Is the ground output not necessary for the voltage regulator?

Lastly, I am using the pololu step up step down regulator and it has a 4th pin labelled SHDN. What does it do and is it okay if I leave it hanging empty?

Haha sorry this is my first quad build from a Syma X11 and I'm quite particular about cable management and clean builds! Big Grin
