I agree with everybody that it's fascinating and definitely worth pursuing,
as well as there are a few points that I'd like to improve:
1. With induction or rf contact lenses, the goggles could scan the position of the pupil, adjusting the camera direction by it. Like that, you wouldn't have to contort your head, but could just gently move it just a little, but do the main work with the eyes.
2. I'd like to work on the smoothness of the camera movement, but think as well that it soon will not be a problem anymore: Bigger digital sensors will easily allow a big "crop" at any time, say a 4x4k sensor could allow 1080p movement by four screens without physically moving..
I'm just too impatient for that, so we should do some crazy lab experiment to forcefully "combine" (..as they sure as hell will not spontaneously) dji and runcam into one uniform genetic product
Nah seriously, a split sensor w runcam owl sensitivity on a mavic pro gimbal...
