I've been doing FPV slope soaring on-and-off since 2012, after having initially been interested in FPV as far back as 2007.

I've got some cool aerobatic stuff in the works, but first I'm getting comfortable with the tech involved in a more sedate, low-intensity platform... the Parkzone Radian

It's actually a darn good slope glider, and I enjoy flying it quite a bit.

Thanks guys. Just got my pan-and-tilt rig going, with headtracking. Switched to a Runcam Micro Swift 2, but haven't dialed it in yet (it's just straight out of the box).



Pan-and-tilt with headtracking makes a world of difference from slope soaring FPV. It's super fun!

Next up, I'm going to see about getting this rig installed on a higher performance, aerobatic airframe. Should be exciting

I've been browsing through the old posts on the forum and discovered this one. I really enjoy slope soaring (LOS mostly) but also done some FPV slope soaring, and plan to do some more soon.

Here's some of my FPV slope soaring videos from a few years back. The first video was with a flying wing with full pan and tilt camera. The second video was a 3 hour flight with my Cularis glider, where I soared with paragliders, what an experience! Unfortunately the video is sped up to fit the whole 3 hour flight for record purposes, so it's not much fun to watch.

Not slope soaring, but FPV thermalling with a Radian same as yours so it might be of interest to you. Let's not mention the safety aspect of flying over buildings and roads, this was a few years back and I'm more responsible now!
