FPV Session Backpack from Think Tank
#1
I've been using a regular backpack to pack my gear when i would go fly. i would put all my tools, extra props, batteries, and goggles in my bag. strap 2 of my quads to the outside of the bag and carry my transmitter and a third quad. i didn't mind it at first cause the spots we would fly at isn't much of a walk from where we would park. but lately we've been having to walk, and hike quite a ways. so i started to look for a better backpack, and found the FPV Session by Think Tank.

it's a great bag, lots of room in a easy to carry backpack. it has 6 straps on the outside for 6 quads, but i personally think it would be to bulky with 6 5" quads. so i don't think i'm going to put more than 4 on it.

I am assuming you have seen the $65 Multistar quadcopter backpack? what are the advantages of this one over the multistar, apart from the factor that it's better looking? ROFL

i have only seen pictures of the multistar Oscar. but from what i can tell the FPV Session has a lower profile, probably because the quads are strapped to the outside of the pack, and on the Multistar you put them inside the pack. the session has a velcro dividers system so you can either make some sections bigger, or remove which ever devider you're not using to make more space. which i think is the same on the multistar. the session comes with zippered compartments and elastic straps on the dividers to help better organize tools, and other stuff. i don't think the multistar does. and according to think tank, they use a special thread to sow the zippers to the pack which is then melted to fuse the zipper to the material to keep it from ripping. (sales pitch in my opinion but we'll see.) i went with the session because it has a lower profile, doesn't look as big and boxy like some of the other packs i've seen, great organization layout on the inside with zippered compartments and elastic straps. and like you said it looks a lot better than a lot of the other options. the quads strap on the outside so i can show them off while i'm walking  Cool . and what sealed the deal for me was i got it for about 25% off. Thumbs Up

25% is a solid discount. Is there something you have to sign up for to get that? Or do you know a guy, who knows a guy that found it by the river? Lol

lol i know a guy with an online store. i can PM you the website if you like. i do admit it's kind of pricey. but honestly it's a great pack, feels really well put together. and if it will last me more than a year then i would say i got my monies worth.

Sure send the link. It is pricey, but I really do like the compartments. I'm using a cheap $30 military style backpack off amazon. The MOLLE is super convenient for strapping my quad, but real estate inside fills up quick.
