Lest Friday I attended a miniquad race held by FRiL (Fpv racing Israel League). It took place in an underground parking in the Big Fashion Ashdod mall and more than 20 pilots attended the race.

Racing in an underground parking is definitely challenging but it was a blast!

Pilots were divided into groups of 4 and given two, 4 minutes, rounds to achieve their fastest lap time. The 8 fastest pilots made it to the Semi-finals where the fastest 4 battled for the first place!

Although I achieved the 3rd fastest lap during the qualifying rounds (only 0.1 seconds away from first), I was crashed into in the semi-final's takeoff and missed my chance on trying to compete for the finals   

here is the video of my qualifying round. please bare in mind, the first 2 minutes of the round were the very first laps in the circuit for all pilots, this is the reason for the slower speed.

Yes, It's a unique parking... The ceiling is taller than most parking places we fly in, and it is very well lit! The owner was kind enough to block a big part of it, just for us, for free!

Yea.. tell me about it.. you practice for months, than someone crashes into you in the first 10 seconds.. it's annoying. Next time i'll just take off faster and get the hell out of the take off mess
