FPV Noob from South Africa
#1
Hi all,

Built my first FPV quad (ZMR250) a couple of months ago. I have in the meantime had to do a lot of fixing as I dove it into a swimming pool, let the smoke out by having fine wire strands short out the PDB etc. etc. I've learned a lot along the way and I hope to learn a lot more on here.

Greetings from South Africa!

Welcome to the forum, yes it's definitely a learning curve. If you haven't done so yet, invest in (or build) a smokestopper. It'll eliminate that magic smoke.

Thanks! Learnt about the smoke stopper 1 short too late. Immediately built one and now use it religiously.

Yeah, I was thinking that now is the perfect time for the holidaymakers to go home again! Well, winter here is perfect weather for flying, if you want to come down off the mountain to defrost!
