FPV gear question
#1
Question
Hey guys. I got a question. Currently im still flying LOS on my quad that i built. No FPV gear yet. I seen in the suggest build thread to use a runcam swift and a skyzone TS5823 200mw vtx. Im thinking about picking those up. If any one would have other suggestions too let me know. Also i was wondering about how to wire i it up correctly. I have a matek pdb with a camera and a vtv pass through. And in the pass through it has a bec for the vtx and camera. Either 12v or 5v and VCC. I understand i should use 12v for the vtx and 5v for the camera. Is that correct? I know it depends on the manufacturer specs too. Ill running using 3s lipo. Thanks in advance for any info.

Hey,
That camera and VTX are good picks.

The VTX can handle voltages between 7v and 21v and the camera between 5v and 17v so you can use any voltage within those ranges respectively. However, using lower voltages will produce less heat.

double check if you have power filtering done on that lines, either via PDB or dedicated filter, if none above grab a capacitator and put it before the components to flatten the spikes. there are few threads how to select best cap Smile

look this part http://intofpv.com/t-filtering-out-esc-n...tor-choice
All the best

Thanks i looked into it and from what seen it does have a power filter on the pass through for the camera and vtx. So i should be OK and shouldn't get any interference. Thanks for bringing that up. I wouldn't have though of it being new to this.  Smile
