My most recent build I used a Holybro 45 amp stack and had everything configured, test lifted in the house to verify everything and was all ready to take to the field the next day. Hours later I figured why not put some music tones which I did, just didn't test lift it again. When at the field no arm, connected it to the PC and didn't have connection to esc 1 and 3, 2 and 4 read no problem. ESC to FC cable was good, verified all with an ohm meter. RDQ had a Diatone stack on sale that weekend so I just went with it.

Not saying the music did it but I sure didn't bother with it this go around despite having it on a couple other quads.

If you expand those last two entries in the log by clicking on the ">" to the left of them (and further entries that appear under those), do you then see any FAILED statuses like on mine?

The fact you are getting some tones (music) at all means that the ESC must be getting sufficient power. I've never bothered trying to put music on my ESCs so I'm not sure what the sequence of sounds are when using music compared to the default first 3 tones followed by the last two tones that you normally hear. So it's difficult to know if your quad is actually completing the initialisation sequence of the last two tones when using music. It probably isn't but I can't tell unless someone else knows. So I'm at a loss as to what your issue is. If this only happened after putting music on the ESCs then in future it would probably be wise to keep away from all the fancy stuff and just live with the default startup tones.

My bad when I first clicked check the arrow was greyed out but it says they all failed to connect. here is the where I got the music    In the video the music plays and after there are more beeps that my drone doesnt have.

OK, I have one last ditch bit of troubleshooting for you to try...

Use a multimeter in continuity mode to check that none of the S1, S2, S3 and S4 pins don't have any continuity with each other or with GND. Also check that each of those S1-S4 motor signal pins have a connection with one of the following legs on the MCU:-
  • PB0 (leg #25)
  • PB1 (leg #26)
  • PC8 (leg #39)
  • PC9 (leg #40)

Holy cow. Where have you been for more than 12 months since my last reply Big Grin I just assumed a year ago that you had managed to figure out the problem and had moved on.

I had to go back and re-read the thread to refresh my memory as to what the original problems were Smile

Replacing the ESC will only fix your issue if the original problem is with the ESC and not the FC. So it will be a case of rolling the dice to figure out which one to replace. You might get lucky on the first try, or you might not.

I gave up on trying to fix it last year, but im trying to fix the drone again. The motors wiggle/make noise and the fc is getting power from the esc, the fc gyro works in betaflight. I think it might be the connection between them. Should I just get a new fc and esc?

Putting aside the ESC connection failure from BLHeliSuite, with a LiPo plugged in are you able to spin each of the motors using the sliders in the Motors tab of Betaflight Configurator? Don't forget to flip the little switch on that tab to confirm that you understand the risks and make sure the props are OFF.

I followed what you said but the sliders dont move when I try to drag them. Additionally when I plug the battery into the esc it plays the beeps/music I put on it, but there aren't two beeps from the flight controller.

No ability to spin the motors from Betaflight and the missing last two ESC startup beeps confirms that your issue is definitely a connection problem between the FC and ESC.

We've already confirmed from your dump in post #8 that you have the correct Betaflight target and motor resource mappings. So one or more of the following
  1. There is a problem with the FC-to-ESC wiring harness.
  2. The soldered pins for one or both of the wiring harness connectors isn't soldered properly to the board.
  3. There is an internal fault with the motor circuit on the FC and/or ESC.
For (1), do what I suggested in the second paragraph of post #13. You never responded to that post so it's not clear if you tried that. You could also try replacing the wiring harness between the FC and ESC. Make sure you use one that has the same correct pin mapping as your existing one.

For (2), use a magnifying glass to thoroughly inspect the soldered pin joints for the connecters on both the FC and ESC.

I couldnt find any thing wrong with the connections but I took some photos of the connection on the esc and fc.

So that just leaves an internal hardware issue either with the FC and/or the ESC.

I think we've pretty much exhausted any remote help that can be provided so you will probably be better off just throwing in the towel and buying a new stack, or taking a gamble and just buying a new ESC in the hope it's that which is faulty rather than the FC.

I bought this esc https://store.tmotor.com/goods.php?id=821 and im using the same flight controller  https://getfpv-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wy...Manual.pdf. Tthe bec on the fc says 5v/3a and on the esc it says 10v/2a. Are these comaptible or do I need to get a bec converter?

Just a note @Snow, this is exactly the same setup we tried to get to work for me  a couple years back. We never did get the esc to respond. Also we could never get camera control to work either on that FC. I would suggest a different stack. I have the mini LuxF7 on a different quad and have not had problems but that LuxF7 sucked up numerous hours to no avail.
