As I've sure all the FlySky users know there's not a huge number of receiver options with the battery telemetry enabled.  In fact we have the Turnigy branded iA6C and now the FlySky branded X6B.  So rather than focussing on the function of the X6B receiver (which works great) I thought I'd throw a couple of reality checks in about it.

Buying a X6B from Hobbyking:

• "Cheaper" than Banggood (depending on postage)
  

Buying a X6B from Banggood:

So whats the big deal about the leads?  
We all have heaps of JST-SH laying about from various components I'm sure, but just how many of us have spare THREE (3) pin JST-SH connectors?  I even bought a bunch of spare JST-SH a while back and never considered buying 3-pin or 2-pin, most FC's use 4, 6 and 8 pin versions.  

The X6B uses 3-pin 1.0mm pitch JST-SH connectors for iBUS, PPM and the Battery Telemetry, an 8-pin 1.0mm pitch connector is used for the PWM connector.

This means that in the effort of saving around 4-5 weeks of postage buying my X6B from HobbyKing Australia I've ended up needing to go back and spend more money on connectors.  

So then we need to find something like this:  https://hobbyking.com/en_us/catalogsearc...=JST-SH1.0  but that's still got the "wrong" connectors on one end (but the larger JST are much easier to work with than the JST-SH)

While the above are only a couple of dollars because I didn't order them at the same time as the X6B I'm stuck paying shipping, again, so in reality my X6B now cost more than if bought from Banggood, I just didn't wait 5 weeks for them.  It'll still be 2 weeks due to the double order though!
