0 Hallo
I can hook up my flysky Tx to a PC to run a simulator. Only this is a very old laptop with limited power.
I do have a top of the line mac. Only I can't get my Tx running with it, I already bought two type of cable to go from trainer port to USB but no luck so far.
Anyone who can help me out.
Samuel

Hey Samuel, Just FYI - the cable that comes with the FS-i6 is a FirmWare update cable only, it cannot be used for Sims. Also if you have purchased another cable did you confirm that it was for simulators? The 'trainer cable' which allows 2 TX to control the same craft, will also not work for sims.
I use
this one with my FS-i6X...

74 Did you try to first plug in the USB and power on the TX BEFORE you start the simulation program. (Then scan for controller.)

The FS-I6S, FS-I8 and FS-I10 have a micro USB port, the original FS-I6 and the FS-I6X have an S-Video port instead, this needs to have the correct individual cable for either sim, trainer or firmware update.
The firmware update cable has a USB plug, which misleads people into thinking that it will work for sims but it does not! The trainer cable is S-Video to S-video, the sim cable uses the PC sound card to recognize the output frequencies of the radio, these PPM frequencies are then used to control the simulator.
There is actually a hack for the FS-I6 and FS-I6X to convert an S-Video cable and attach a quarter inch headphone jack, used in conjunction with a program called Smart Propo Plus, to recognize the PPM signals to control a sim.
