Flamewheel F450 toiletbowl - Need help

When I try to fly, I can't get past this with a hover at 3-4 feet...Any help would be greatly appreciated. The PIDS have not been adjusted.

What can't you get past?

While a config dump and a black box log is helpful, I've no idea what your craft is (apart from the hint in the title).

What are the motors, ESCs, propellers, battery etc and very importantly, what's the all up weight?

to better help you it would be great to see a list of parts you used on that quad, and photos of your build? A 450 frame is not designed for 36mm FC so would be interesting to see how you are mounting the FC on the frame, etc...

Thank you, Oscar, for the reply. I mounted to the top of the frame upside-down and configured this in cleanflight. Right now using Turningy 9xr with flsky. Let me know if this helps. I didn't know it mattered what stay fc was used with a 450. Previously, I had Arduino APM 2.5 and switched to this after asking local hobby store what they recommended. Thanks!

How much does all of that weigh?

What are the motors?

I guess the propellers are 10x4.5, is that correct?

What is the flight battery? 4S or 3S? What's the second, smaller battery for?

Just from watching first few seconds of video, my first question would be, do the escs have active braking? It looks like they don't... means, it could be that they take too long to slow down the props again which could lead to that slow wobble.

EDIT: checked pics, they are hobbywing skywalker 20a, they have a braking option but that is meant for airplanes to stop the prop at zero throttle... can't find any info about active braking, so maybe that's the problem.

On 2nd thought, maybe it could help to significantly lower P-term, and in turn increase I-term, in order to make the PID-sum more dominated by I-term and thus slower.

However, I-term became more dynamic in last versions of cleanflight/betaflight (means, the higher it is, the faster it reacts) so maybe it won't work very well either.

All good advice from fftunes. If the weight is more than the motors and propellers can actually lift though, then no amount of tuning will make it fly properly.

This is why I asked what the all up weight is, along with the other relevant data points to be able to work out if your build is too heavy. I suspect that might be the case.
