I have two ground wires coming from vtx, I suppose one of them is for the audio which I would not be connecting as my goggles does not have audio out. Is it ok to keep that one unsoldered, or should I put it together with the other ground wire to the 12V ground?

If you are not using the audio channel, cut the audio wire and second ground wire close to the plug and solder them together. Cover the join with some heatshrink. It's always best to ground the audio input if it's not being used.

It's fine if the ground of the VTX touches the frame. I have heard of some who had problems with video interference when they did this, but as long as nothing else is grounded to the frame, I can't see why it would cause a problem.

To supplement this based on basic coax cable principals (don't get me wrong, I am no expert... I am just an office guy at an MSO/CATV company). The nut on your connector is part of the shielding of the coax connection. The signal actually travels over the center conductor so the reason why there shouldn't be any issue if there isn't some sort of noise over the carbon fiber is because you would be very unlikely to get ingress into the line which would create additional noise, or egress which could potentially dissipate your signal.

Today was the day!  Big Grin

I finished soldering everything together, setup the whole thing in betaflight suprisingly easily without any problems and headed to the field with three charged packs and a bit worry if it will fly and if I wont be disappointed after investing so much money and time into research, learning and putting this thing together.

Here are some images fresh from the factory before the flight

It was flying awesomely! Heart  All the hours put into simulator really paid off and I was able to control it with ease straight in acro mode.

So I tried some range test going above high grass field... Range test results:

Range is quite okay and beeper works  ROFL Thankfully I took some spare props with me so I could finish all the bateries.

And here is quite boring bonus video with some oh  Poop moment at 0:50

Unfortunately I dont have DVR so next item on my list is some nice action camera so I can start making some nice recordings of my fails.

Thanks all of you for help, this forum is really great resource for getting into this hobby  Heart
