First FPV flights
#1
I think I need some advice. I recently started to fly in FPV (I was flying LOS before) with ZMR 250 v2 (Naze 32 rev 5).
It is very interesting feeling to watch world trough goggles and I believe I have to learn a lot still.
Anyway I didn't tune any PID or Expo yet. I have a feeling that inertia is too big.
When I try to flight straight I see that quad moves a bit to the right/left.
When hoover - it goes backward.
Any idea where I should start with tuning?
I've added blackbox log: Blackbox log on Google Drive

One more question - do you use trimmers on your TX?

Thanks in advance for help.

Are you flying in rate mode or in autolevel mode?

I've tried both - same behavior. Is this normal that I didn't see any difference between autolevel and rate mode? I'm sure that I've setup this two modes in Cleanflight (checked a few times).

Well in rate mode the drift you were talking about shouldn't be an issue because you can correct it.  If you are hovering in autolevel and it is drifting significantly then you need to trim the accelerometers in cleanflight. I don't use the trims on my transmitter because I can trim the accelerometer in the flight controller.

Looking at your log your gyro has some very weird behaviour.
At timestamp 24369744 you don't change the input an it gets a huge pitch bump.
Did you have a windy day?
Else i would say your gyro or the connection towards it is faulty.

Same at about 80968331.
No change in input, sudden gyro movements in pitch and yaw. Partly only one motor is spinning o.O (full throttle).

Can you make a clean flash again?
Sky is where the fun begins!
Flying: Armattan F1-6 / Cobra 1960kv / KISS / 1800mAh nano's / SPR3 / Betaflight 2kHz
Building: FPV49v4 modified

When weather is better I will try again.

On all my quads I carefully level them with a level and a deck of cards. Then calibrate the accelerometer. I get no drift after that. After a crash it may need to be done again as it may be slightly off and you get drift. Or way off and it won't arm. I don't need to use the trim buttons on the TX.
