- EMAX RS2205 2300KV or
- Eachine 2204 MN2204 2300KV or
- Racerstar Racing Edition 1806 BR1806 2280KV
Did I forgot something? Will this work together? Which motor/esc combination should I buy? Any advice? I have a Spektrum DX6 and Skyzone SKY02S V+ 3D FPV Goggle, flight experience with Hubsan x4, Blade 350qx and of course many hours with Liftoff FPV Sim. Maybe someone has a recommendation for better antennas for my goggles? It works fine for car fpv, but I am afraid, the original one from Skyzone won't work well with quad fpv. I am grateful for every tip and help. And sorry for my english, it is not my native language. • Posts: 2 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: May 2017 Reputation: 0 I've just finished a build with that frame also, and looking at that receiver you are going to struggle to fit that in the frame as it is too long and thick (Oooh err missus lol) Find the smaller receiver you can use. You'll want 2204 or 2205 motors and check your FC is ok with Heli_32 I guess. Thanks for the answer. I think I will take the EMAX RS2205 2300KV and the 35A ESC, should be fine together with the FC. Is there any other 35A ESC, that will work with BetaflightF3 Flight Controller? As RENOV8R says, the 40C Lipos should change to something more powerful, it may works with less powerful motors, but with this combo I need something up to 120A, omg. Hmm, another receiver? This one or this? There is a much cheaper counterfeit, may this work together with the FC? I have no experience with Spektrum air receivers, I am coming from RC cars/Futaba. Found another one, much smaller. • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 Regarding rx, i went with lemon diversity sats with long antennas, 10$ and free shipping. Worked well so far on my last 3 quads. Never had a bit of trouble with lemon-rx satellites. Posts: 15 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 3 in 3 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Jul 2017 Reputation: 0 I found this one, is it the right one? Do you have a link, where I can find it for 10$ with free shipping? Nothing listen at banggood or aliexpress, and ebay is much more expensive, nearly original Spektrum. • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 (08-Jul-2017, 04:33 PM)Heliomalt Wrote: I found this one, is it the right one? I haven't seen it for less than $13-14 though. Posts: 15 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 3 in 3 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Jul 2017 Reputation: 0 So I updated my part list with links to the products. Any improvements, changes or should I order so? Your replies were very helpful, thank you very much. I have holidays in three weeks and am looking forward to assembling my first FPV quad, will certainly be an exciting experience. • Posts: 2 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 2 in 2 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: May 2017 Reputation: 0 08-Jul-2017, 08:22 PM (This post was last modified: 08-Jul-2017, 08:26 PM by carlp69.) Are you experienced in soldering? If not, get a decent wattage iron, I used this one and had no problems (I was new to fine soldering too) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F...UTF8&psc=1 Use lead solder with flux. Be careful though as I did buy one reel of lead solder that was actually lead free and was a horrible mess. Copper shavings for cleaning the tip, much better than a wet sponge. And practice on an old/broken piece of electronics. I used an old broken receiver and practiced removing and reattaching bits of it. Also, I watched a fair few vids on Youtube about soldering flight controllers from the usual suspects Rotor Riot, Joshua Badwell etc. Those videos were invaluable in knowing what to expect and things you need to do, there is soo much that needs to be done properly in these quads. Oh, and a tip for the frame, I used longer stainless steel hex screws for the frame that I already had from my RC days. This reduces the risk of the stock screws stripping out of the standoffs and strengthens the structure a bit. I think there are normal M3 size. Yes that's the one, and the place that i bought from. Maybe they were a bit cheaper when they were new... and i'm sure i had free shipping there but i bought 4 at once... Maybe it changed? Thanks for asking, but yes, I am experienced in soldering for many years, profession and hobby. I use this solder, Stannol HS 10 Sn60Pb39Cu1. And thanks for the tip with longer screws. Before I build everything, I like to test the parts, if everything is working as expected. I know that the Lemon RX needs 3.3V, but I don't know where exactly solder the signal wire. I think it should be at the DSM2/SBUS Pin? Or is it the PPM? • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 26-Jul-2017, 11:54 AM (This post was last modified: 26-Jul-2017, 11:59 AM by sloscotty.) Use the DSM/SBus row (bottom row) and then you'll have to bridge the solder pads next door to use "3V" (it's actually 3.3). Successfully flashed Betaflight 3.2 on it, so it should be ready for the X-Racer Quadrant, thx to Joshua Bardwell • |
