First drone build and I'm having trouble with OSD being displayed in goggles
#1
Hi,

I just finished completely building my quad, but I'm having troubles with displaying OSD in the goggles. I set it up in betaflight but it just won't show up in my goggles, I might of done something wrong, I have no clue. I'm using a "iFlight SucceX-E F4" FC, "PandaRC VT5804 X1 40CH 25-800mW" vtx, "Eachine Bat 19S" for the camera, and the "Eachine EV100 5.8G" goggles. It isn't the best hardware but to my knowledge this should support the utilization of OSD but at the same time I might be wrong. I would really apricate if someone who has more knowledgeable about this could help me out. Also the camera is connected to the vtx directly and the vtx is connected to ground, bat, and T1 on the "iFlight SucceX-E F4" FC as well in betaflight in configurations OSD is enabled as well as OSD display. Would really appreciate some help with this, thank you once again. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Ok, check ur wiring.. 5v and ground are simple.. now from the camera(possible yellow wire) should go to the FC vid-in pad... and from the FC.. vid-out to vtx...
If that is correct then ur wiring is good..
Now, there are 2 camera protocols NTSC and another (can’t remember) .. check the selection in betaflight OSD. If it’s one then select then save.. if it’s on auto.. try the others.. make sure you save.
NTSC AND PAL....I think

As Rob pointed out, your camera needs to be connected to the video in pad on your FC and the VTX connected to the video out pad in order for the OSD to work. If you make that change and still don't see the OSD, please post a CLI dump and a clear photo of your wiring.

Okay going go try re-soldering it so the camera is connected to the FC and the video runs through the fc rather then having the camera connected direclty to the vtx.

There ya go.. it can’t have a OSD signal from the fc of it doesn’t pass through it.. HOWEVER, some FCs DONT have osd (I found this out the hard way with a F3), but some cameras have a osd.. but you are very limited with information
