Finding a new 3S capable, prebuilt 20x20 stack -
#1
The next journey begins...I was hoping to use the spare parts to build a stock Eachine MiniCube control stack for the 110mm build.  That did not seem to work out as well as hoped.  I would like to get one that is pre-assembled, but that is not mandatory.  Would like to simply solder on the power lead and motors and go.  The Eachine MiniCube is great, more curious to hear what others are available.

Just received one of these:

Not used soldered up yet as still waiting for the frame...

The KingKong looks nice, but I feel I might want to run a 4s eventually and 10A seems a little light. Really leaning towards one of the HGLRC options. F4 FC, 28A, VTX included...not a lot wrong with that combo. I have several FRSKY mini RX's for connecting.

Can now get them separately too:

However, no spare UART's for SmartAudio etc.

I ordered the HGLRC 428-TX20 combo. It will be mated to a 110mm frame (Eachine Firer 110) and drive Dragonfly MC1105 motors. I will be using FRSKY XM RX for now, but may order the XM+ for some added range. I have a RunCam Swift Micro and VTX-03 that will give it sight. Thanks for the suggestions!

I am flying this same frame with the the Eachine MiniCube and it is a good balanced frame, a little heavy but good. I feel like it could use a little extra punch at times to keep it out of trouble. I have flown it at a golf course and it was a dream, even at altitude in some breezy air. The little Eachine 1104 motors are ok, but they leave little reserve.

I did manage a few 7+ minute flights on 650mah Tattu 3S packs. I feel like I will likely lose a minute or so with the higer rated system, but I am pretty good and mellow flight...cruising Smile

Have the FC flashed to BF 3.2 now and everything looks good for the beginning of the build. Friday will be the new craft's birthday! The Rx should arrive today and that is the last component needed. Decided to skip the XM that is resting on the desk and just wait for the XM+.

Well, that was easy! Okay, a little rough...

So, everything organized on the table and project KT110 begins. Everything was perfect. Mounted the motors and had an issue. Motor screw bottomed out and ruined the winding on one...

So, KT is equipped with Eachine 1104, 6000kv motors for now...but we fly!!!

You had a spare motor to replace the damaged one then?

It's an expensive way to learn that motor screw lengths should be checked before mounting the motors! On these tiny little ones, you really don't need more than about 1.5mm sticking up above the frame.

Yes, expensive!  Only had the 4 7000kv Dragonflies, but a full set of Eachines.  Not my first choice, but feel they should work well enough for fun.

That looks like a fun and fast little machine!

I'd advise you to find somewhere to fix your battery lead to the frame with a zip tie though. If your battery gets thrown off in a crash, you don't want the battery lead to pull the pads off your 4-in-1 ESC!

It is definitely a different machine than Lizzy!  A lot more punch.  It felt almost out of control so I lowered the rates some to help it mellow.  It has a soft feel while flying in most of the stick range until the steepest curve point.

Thank you for the advice on securing the battery leads!  Guess this means a trip to the garage to see if there are any out there Smile

I really like the HGLRC F428 stack! Not even close to utilizing 28 amps per ESC with smaller Eachine motors, but the flight controller is quick and responsive for me.

The TX-20 seems like a really great VTx with good penetration through the cover around my home. We have a few trees and largish bushes that I like to fly around and if there is any breakup, it is so brief as to not be an issue.

Good to hear!

HGLRC seem to make some good boards. I've had a few flight controllers from them and they're sometimes a little quirky, but always seem to be reliable and well put together.

Hello i am building my first 2 inch micro with brushless motors and planning to run it on 3s lipo. I have already ordered:
Dys Elf x2 88mm frame
5 x 1105 6000kv hglrc flame motors.
I need some advices for the fc and a 4 in 1 esc (possibly not a stack,i like soldering and diy)
What do you think about of these two products?
Esc with bec and current sensor

and matek f4 mini
