FCC Hack - DJI FPV
#1
Hey folks, running into a bit of a snag with the FCC hack on my DJI FPV and Goggles Integra setup. (I'm trying to set up the Goggles for my new drone, the "Chimera 7" ... it hasn't arrived at my address yet.)
Following the steps for the hack, I formatted the SD card on my phone, dropped "ham_cfg_support" into the root directory, and popped it into the Goggles. But here's the kicker - the Integra is giving me the cold shoulder; it's not recognizing the SD card.
I also gave the "B3yond" app a shot, but it's throwing shade, claiming it doesn't recognize the device, despite my diligent adherence to the instructions.

Any seasoned pilots out there who've tackled this issue before? Any advice would be epic! Cheers in advance!

P.S. My bad if this has been covered already. I scoured the forums but couldn't find a similar Q&A

Why break the law if you bought devices that the law allows you to buy in your country?

Nothing tastes as sweet as the forbidden fruit Wink

Edited to address the actual question. What size microsd are you using? I've seen some people report that over a certain size can be problematic for some systems. Maybe try a 16gig sd?

Hah, I saw so much of that at Uni years back, everything from the inane, to two of our dive instructors who dived the elphinstone arch out in Egypt (on air and got kicked out of the club for it).

The things is we are all the same. Whether it's flying drones without a government lojack or flying without a spotter or just generally not giving a fk about the rules full stop. Some rules are just there to be bent, distorted and massively broken. In the case of devices with stupid limits, if it can be hacked and someone has a good enough reason to do it, someone will probably do it. If you paid some crazy amount of money for whatever it is, I think you have a right to do wtf you want with it, including breaking it and changing it to your liking. It's the way of the world. Wink

Anyone remember dvd protection software. Someone decided they wanted to watch dvd's on Linux years back, so they cracked the protection on the dvd's and you would download a library and install it, which off the top of my head was called libdvdcss and then you could watch dvd's on Linux. Same thing.

While I can't help the OP, I do support his right to modify his goggles how he sees fit.
