Fatshark HDO2 Flickering Screen
#1
Hello to everyone!

Recently I bought new Fatshark HDO2 from GetFPV, camera Foxeer Predator V5 and TBS Fusion (2.16 firmware).

Previously, I did not use an analog vtx, but flew on a digital (DJI or Caddx).

I noticed that my eyes strain when I look at the screen as it blinks very quickly.

Foxeer Predator V5 works both on PAL / NTSC mode.

Using PAL mode it is very noticeable, with NTSC much less. But in slow motion, both flickers are visible.

The quality of NTSC is much worse. I tried two different Foxeer Predator V5 cameras, result is the same.

In PAL mode when I switch to 16:9 aspect ratio (on goggles), it flickers less.

Maybe it is this normal screen behavior? Do you have the same "issue"?

How then to fly for 5 hours? Eyes get very tired from constant flickering!

I decided to record in slow motion on my phone (240 frames per second) and here's what you can see.

PAL -
NTSC -

On whole Youtube I found only one video with the same issue:

No, that's not normal behaviour. Have you tried it on a different quad just to rule out the VTX? If you have and you still get the same issue then I would file a warranty claim with GetFPV. FatShark are usually very good are addressing any warranty related issues so you should be in good hands.

isnt that a frame rate issue of the cam or probably just interferences between radio and video gear?
does it change if you cover the antennas or if you place them differently?

the posted video seems something different to me.
