FATSHARK DOM V3, BEEPING BUT BATTERY STILL MORE THAN 50%
#1
Hi all,

Need to ask for help

I have Fatshark Dominator V3 with Furious True-D firmware 3.6
Use 2 battery case
1. Fatshark original with 2 18650 battery
2. Furious smart case with 18650 battery

both of them experience same problem which is

Goggle beeping constantly,
i checked the battery case still have 50% battery
change to new battery (different battery case)
beeping is gone

play few battery beeping come again, checked battery case still have maybe 60% (base on battery status bar)

i ignored it for few weeks...

but today... goggles just start beeping and i ignore it because in the middle of flying then it just turn off while on air ROFL
i checked battery status, have 50%

what is the problem ?
is it goggle problem or battery problem ?

i had those goggle almost a year
and get 2nd pair battery about 2 months

Thanks for your help

What is the actual voltage of the cells. Ignore the status bar.

Goggles beeps when battery voltage is lower than 3.6V, that's the lowest for LiPo, but for 18650 they can actually be discharged down to 3.1V so your goggles will beep half way through the discharge when your batteries still have 50% left Smile But when battery is under load (powering on the goggles), voltage will sag, and maybe it sagged too much and your goggles turned off.

Anyway, that's just some background info, check voltage like Voodoo suggested first.

So, 7.6V is not full charge. It should be 8.2-8.4v. Anyway, I do see your point. I wonder if the voltage divider is off. Considering that there seems to be something wrong with your Fatshark, it might be worth doing this mod. It might fix everything.

I dont understand what to chabge.. And seems very technical for me

Are there any other ways to fix

I think this problem not about alarm triggered..

I put newly charge battery also beeping,
Then i pull out and plug in power cable few times.. Shake2 the goggle.. Then beeping is off

And sometimes the video image like not in the right position for 1 sec than blink to correct position

I'm interested in what he did to fix this? I replaced my Laforge V3 with a rapidfire and I'm getting a similar issue

3.7 is prett old, i use 3.9 on my true d and possibly there is a new formware version available...
what did your friend change? is there a voltage scale which can be adjusted?
probably modern diversity vrx does consum more ampdraw than the board of an old goggle like to provide?
