fatshark battery pack connector?
#1
Should I change the barrel connector on a stock fatshark 7.4V 1800mAh battery pack (FSV1803)
to an xt-60? or leave as is? this way I only have to worry about one connector just like Mr. Steele.

I am also, planning to do this mod: insanitydrones    .     com/diy-fatshark-battery-alternative

Why would you want to change the plug to a xt60? Then you would need an adapter to power your fatsharks?

He is still using a barrel connector on his fatsharks. The goggles themselves only have the option for that barrel connector. If you switch it out, you wont be able to use them to power your goggles.

He probably made that mod to be able to charge from a regular charging board, rather than switching to the Fatshark plug connector.

If you want to use an XT-60 and don't care about using the anti-fogging fan, you can just get yourself an XT-60 to barrel plug connector and power your Fatsharks from a regular Lipo.

Personally I don't understand why no one has yet made an adapter for that yet. XT-60 to barrel plug AND fan plug. Then anyone could use any regular 3s lipo and not have to worry about Fatshark specific batteries at all.

I soldered a long extension cable and a 2s balancer connector to the bullet connector, 4mm connectors on the other end, so i can carry my big 2s rc car batteries in the pocket. 4000+ mAh ftw. Smile

PS: I mean like this:
